About Us
Pryce Acres is a future family-run homestead, farm, and outdoor recreation space envisioned on a scenic 13-acre property. Founded by Shah-Haan and Marisa Pryce, along with their daughter Ximena, it reflects their shared passion for sustainability and reconnecting with nature.
The Pryce Family—hailing from Atlanta, GA—discovered a mutual desire for a simpler, self-sufficient lifestyle rooted in gardening, homesteading, and humane animal raising. Initially planning for a small family plot, they embraced the opportunity to expand their vision to a larger property, transforming it into a multi-functional space for their family and the community.
Pryce Acres aspires to provide fresh, pesticide-free produce, ethically raised meat, and an inviting environment for outdoor activities. The family envisions it becoming a community hub where people can gather, enjoy wholesome food, and reconnect with the land.
Grounded in values of sustainability, self-reliance, and respect for the earth, the Pryce Family hopes to one day make Pryce Acres a beacon of hope and inspiration for those seeking a sustainable, community-focused lifestyle.
About The Land
Located at 3020 Smokey Rd in Athens, GA, Pryce Acres encompasses 13 scenic acres of gently sloping terrain enriched with loamy clay soil—an ideal foundation for gardening and planting. This fertile land is envisioned to support homesteading and self-sustainability projects, including private gardens for the Pryce family and community plots where locals can cultivate fresh produce and herbs.
Athens, GA, celebrated for its vibrant culture and rich history, also boasts a strong agricultural heritage. Its temperate climate and fertile lands have long supported farming and sustainable living. Pryce Acres proudly continues this tradition, fostering a connection between people and the land.
The property features a variety of natural wonders, including pecan, oak, pine, and sweet gum trees, along with wild dill, dandelions, and diverse mushroom species. Approximately 600 feet of Noketeechee Creek flows through the land, providing fresh, running water year-round and enhancing the ecosystem. Wildlife sightings, such as deer and turtles, add to the charm and hint at the potential for further discoveries as the land is nurtured.
Looking to the future, Pryce Acres aspires to become an oasis of culture, health, and recreation. Plans include cozy cabins, yurts, BYO tent campgrounds, and spiritual sweat lodges, as well as recreational activities like paintballing, ATV trails, and ziplining. These developments aim to create a vibrant hub where visitors can enjoy nature, participate in meaningful activities, and form lasting connections.
Pryce Acres is more than land; it’s a vision for a sustainable, community-centered future. With its natural resources and thoughtful development plans, the property is set to become a cherished space for growth, exploration, and shared experiences.
